Village Hero, The
$24.00
Saucy and cheeky describes Andy, the London orphan boy who is celebrating his freedom! Finished with school, he’s determined to become a policeman, “’cause you’re the boss o’ everybody, and nobody can boss you!” The city boy moves to a country cottage with his new friend, where he proves to be a hard worker and becomes John’s “’andy man.” Being headstrong, Andy learns many lessons about having a humble heart. And though he lacks a filter for his tongue, loyal and honest Andy will surely win your heart!

Highly Recommended Well written, keeps your interest, moves along quickly, entertaining, and illustrates a good moral code while being real about the struggles of a young boy as he is growing and learning.

Another Favorite This was another of Amy Le Feuvre books that I really liked. The book could also have been titled, “The ‘Andyman”. Very touching. Have you ever seen a little boy and thought this boy is going to do something great. This is Andy. A born leader and a devoted servant. Since he is a very “saucy” city boy in the country, he is often misjudged by the country folk where he lives. However, he backs up his talk with action. We could all learn a lesson from Andy about having a positive attitude and a servant’s heart.

Very Good! I very much enjoyed reading The Village Hero. It taught me the joy that comes when we serve. Andy always wanted to be the top man, and he learned that joy comes in serving. And in Serving the Lord in humbleness. Very Good!
