And Moses said, "I will turn aside to see this great sight, why the bush is not burned." When the LORD saw that he turned aside to see, God called to him out of the bush, "Moses, Moses!" And he said, “Here I am."
Exodus 3:3-4
Notice how it wasn’t until Moses turned aside with wonder, that then God called to him. Notice how the LORD saw that he turned aside. God is looking for those who are curious to know more. It’s important to be observant. I have found that those who are growing the most in Christ, are the more observant. They see everything around them. They become more sensitive to the needs of people around them. They become more discerning about others and themselves… their flaws and weaknesses in themselves and in others. They begin to see evidence of God working and they turn aside to see. They become involved… not brashly… but cautiously, lest they themselves get consumed.
