Little Henry is taken hostage by a band of robbers and lives for years in a deep, dark cave. When he stumbles upon a crevice in the wall, he escapes to the land above and experiences with wonder the brilliance of the sun and the magnificence of the vast blue sky. Through the friendship of a shepherd, he learns about the miracle of a tiny seed and the expression of love it represents. This creative work will give you a fresh appreciation for the natural wonders of creation that we so often take for granted.

Such a Wonderful Book! This book shows how God’s creation testifies. It challenges all of us to slow down and listen.

Fire in the Sky Our family couldn’t stop at the end of a chapter. We HAD to keep going!

The Heaven’s Declare the Glory of God! My children and I recently read this book. We too couldn’t put it down! My daughter kept asking to read “one more chapter.” I had also been studying Psalm 19, and this book was a wonderful depiction of the glory of God revealed in the heavens! I appreciate Von Schmid and his eloquent way of presenting truth. This is a must read!

Excellent Short Story! I really enjoyed this little book! It really does help you to appreciate the creation around you that is all to often taken for granted. I would encourage everyone to read this book with their whole family! It would be a great one to start with if you have young children or are just starting out reading longer chapter books to your children.

Fire in the Sky I enjoyed the book. The author kept the reader entertained. Also I like that the characters trusted God to bring their son home again.
