Highly Recommended I recently read this book somewhat like a devotional. I put it on my table in the kitchen and read a chapter each morning with my coffee. The past two weeks were personally very challenging and this book helped me remember how vital storing God’s word is in keeping us grounded in our everyday lives, as well as in the “big moments”. It may have been meant as a children’s book, but I found it had great value as an adult child of God. Thank you once again Lamplighter for sharing these precious nuggets of truth with all of us.

Joseph’s Shield This is a fantastic book. I loved it and my five children 7, 6, 4, 3, and 1 asked for it every night. Well, the one and three year old didn’t ask for it, but they happily played at our feet as we read. It inspired us to start memorizing scriptures again. We often talk about this in every day life, “What inspired Joseph to act better…what should we do based on the scripture he read?” Wonderful stuff.

Monthly Marching Orders-LOVE The children and I were challenged by living out just ONE verse every month. God’s Word is so amazing that we can see application for every situation. What a delightful book. Way to get us living on the Daily Bread. Thank you!

Excellent Story I found this book everything I expected it to be and more. I got it as a birthday gift for my younger brother, and read it myself upon receiving it. It may be a story for children, but its message convicted me too. I guess eighteen year olds can learn as much from the story of the application of God’s word, as an eight year old can.
As a note in favor of the company, I received the book on time snugly packed into a dear little box in such a way that left no room for damage. The book itself was neatly wrapped in brown paper. I am definitely as pleased with the packing job as I am with the book.

A Treasured Account This book is excellent and will help teach children and adults alike the importance of hiding God’s Word in your heart! It is filled with great examples that teach you how to practically use Scripture to overcome temptation. It would be a great book to read out loud to your children and talk with them about how they would act in a similar situation.

Great Read Indeed This slim volume was a quick, yet terrific read. Even for someone such as myself who doesn’t read that quickly. I am using Joseph’s Shield in my church’s Pioneer Club as a book for the kids to read and hopefully see the value in hiding God’s Word in their hearts.

Wonderful Message Hidden I love the size and feel of these books. They read easily. I purchased this for my 6 year old son who is clearly touched by God and has a passion for His Word (and is a fantastic reader) but – he’s 6 – and he struggles with the tug from the world. We read it together and discussed each chapter. What a wonderful read and a wonderful message. We’re purchasing more books as we finish each one.

Highly Recommended My boys and I are reading a chapter at a time. They are struck with joy at how often each selected Bible text seems to fit just right for the situations that Joseph faces. It is a wonderful way for them to see how the Bible can influence them in their everyday lives!

Joseph’s Shield I recently read this book with my ten year old. We both enjoyed it so much that I purchased two more for gifts for seven year old nephews. The story has lessons that the very young will understand but even an adult will enjoy!

All-Time Favorite I usually read a book once and that’s enough for me…until Lamplighter. This small book is such an inspiration. My boys (8 and 10) just asked to read it again! The book shows how God can reach us through his Word, even if we come to him for the wrong reasons. If we are open to the Truth, God will reveal Himself to us! My all-time favorite Lamplighter book!

REALLY GREAT BOOK!! My Mama and I bothed enjoyed this story and the way it is written is so good and seems like it would be a good read aloud for families with children. I love God’s Word!!! This book is about the treasure of hiding God’s Word in your heart! What a Shield!!

Gem of a Book!! This book is a treasure–we are on our second read through as a family. Seeds Family Worship recently promoted their “20 Verses in 2020” campaign, and we are ready for this “live the verses” challenge after reading Joseph’s Shield!

Joseph’s Shield I was so excited to read this little book and see how valuable it will be to the little family of 4 children that I am giving it to. They are all (parents) ‘new’ to the family of God and I believe such books are invaluable in helping to raise godly children!!

Highly Recommended! My two daughters, ages 5 and 8, are loving this book right now and so am I! They love guessing at the beginning of the chapter which verse Joseph will memorize. We have all had bouts of laugh-out-loud moments as we read about Joseph’s adventures. I love how those adventure s and temptations are things my young daughter’s can identify with. I read one chapter of this book to them every night before bed (chapters are very short). I’ve found myself praying the verse of the chapter over them each night and love how the book is giving me ideas of ways to pray that God’s word would be a shield to my children as well.
