Recommended I like having many famous people’s personal stories all together in one book. My 8 yr. old son is really interested in war heroes, so he is hearing a wonderful synopsis of the lives of people like Ulysses S. Grant and Robert E. Lee. I think the level of reading is for younger “Young Americans” than ages 9-14, and it isn’t particularly well written. I also am surprised that there is no mention of their faith in God. Whatever good they accomplished cannot compare with ascribing glory to God through their lives.

Good For 2nd & 3rd Graders! Good selection of biographies of interest to young children, scattered with fascinating tidbits about these people! Would work well with family reading time, reading to or listening to the child read. Includes very thought provoking questions at the end of each biography, with scripture references!

Great Book! As soon as we received this book, my 9 year old couldn’t put it down. Its an excellent book with information that I did not know about our founding fathers and many more. We highly recommend this book!
