Amazing, Convicting Story! Having heard the teaser for this at the Lamplighter Guild, I definitely wanted to hear it in its entirety. I wasn’t disappointed!
I appreciate the straightforward, riveting storytelling, and ultimately, the redemptive, convicting messages it contains. Another instant classic!

The Haunted Room I absolutely loved it! Emmy’s struggle with fear and having to face it and face the “haunted room” within herself, not only penetrated, but convicted me. There were truths told and verses of scripture read that were confirmed for me in this audio drama. All of the actors did a fantastic job! It was fast-paced and exciting, but it also had deep nuggets of truth and the word intertwined in the story. I liked watching not only Emmy’s spiritual journey to freedom and victory, but her two brothers’ as well. I believe this is one of the best audio dramas yet!

Good, But Book is Better! It is another good radio drama, but the book is better then the drama. Don’t get me wrong, it is good, just not as good as the book.

Kids Loved It As with all Lamplighter audios, they couldn’t wait to listen to them when they arrived in the post. They unanimously declared this was the best of the bunch. That must be one great story. Highly recommended.

The Haunted Room Our family enjoyed this story together while traveling. We were all entertained by the suspense. We did not want to turn it off until we heard it all. The moral tone was motivating as well.

Great New Audio Drama Our family really enjoyed the new audio drama, The Haunted Room. The story contains a great lesson on being courageous based on the fact that God is with us. The story also contains a lesson on how important it is for brothers to be gracious to one another.

Okay, Book is Better The story in this drama is good but the book is better. The actress who plays Emmy (I think she is the same one who plays Mary in the basket of flowers) has a very high pitched voice and her constant screaming and whimpering ruins the drama. I think that they should have found a better way to convey her fear than screaming all the time. And the things she is afraid of! Cats? Really? I heard the drama and thought if all it takes is a cat or the mere mention of a ghost to throw her into hysteria then she has some real issues. Then I read the book saw that her fears were not near as vocal but more deep seated in her mind and heart. I don’t really recommend the drama but the book is a stellar story that I love and will most likely read at least yearly.

Highly Recommend I own all of the Theater Dramas and most of the books. I have been supporting Lamplighter for years because I believe in the work they are doing and their stuff is great quality.

Great! This is a great story. It may especially be helpful for someone struggling with fear and anxiety. There are some intense scenes which may be too much for younger listeners. Our whole family enjoyed listening to it together.

Terrific for Personal Revelation We found this story intriguing and motivating us to look within. Our boys 10 and 13 chuckled frequently at the lead female character, but were also amazed in visualizing her personal development throughout. For a while after, we found ourselves challenging ourselves and each other with our use of her famous phrases to overcome fear. We do recommend!
