Great Read I enjoyed this book! The characters were very believable. I love how the New Testament characters such as Lydia and the Philippian Jailor were brought in and how the life and journeys of Paul were weaved throughout. I feel this will enrich my next reading of the book of Acts to think deeper of the real people these events happened to!

Literature At Its Finest!! The strength of this book is its masterful weaving of many plot threads, shifting character pursuits and blending them all nicely within the historical framework of many events recorded in the book of Acts. The author does a good job of not whitewashing the pagan atrocities of the day in Rome, neither does she indulge sinful flesh by gratuitously displaying such depravities. I appreciated some of the slower conversion accounts within the tale, as well as the sympathy towards Nero shown by Hector (simply as someone who needs Christ as much as the rest of us). While it wouldn’t have fit her style, I was hoping for a little more dramatic storytelling during the final climatic scene. Other than that, I applaud this book for the twists and turns it takes (especially with Junius). Highly recommended indeed. Take your time with this one–enjoy each page.

Highly Recommended This is an amazing book! I read it all in one day! The story is very intriguing- the beginning reminded me of the book Ben-Hur. I love the way it portrays the early Christian church, and how they helped one another. Also, it inspired me to have the same dedication to Christ as past believers and martyrs had! May He find us faithful!
