I Read Things Differently Now A great quick read for starting to analyze fantasy, both Christian and non-Christian. O’Brien is good at revealing the darkness that often goes undetected in modern literature. The one point of criticism I would make though is that I finished the book with more want of light. “I see the dragon but where’s the knight to vanquish him?” Now that’s not just a want of a “Christ-figure” that’s also a want of depicting an omnipresent omniscient God who takes even wicked intents and turns them for good. Asides from that, a great book that is easy to read and stirs the mind to be critical of what is being viewed or read.
