Monthly Update Letter: January
What have we been up to? We’re glad you asked!
The Masters Guild
This semester of The Masters Guild has been off to a wonderful and very full start! We have 9 students and 1 intern this semester who are digging into the Word of God every day, plugging into the work of the ministry, and experiencing life more abundantly through a living and growing relationship with Jesus Christ. Some highlights of this past month: A field trip to the Ark Encounter (with a performance of Logos Theatre’s The Pilgrim’s Progress), ministering at a church in Ohio, ice fishing, skiing, Biblical Theology classes, Spiritual Growth and Family with Shad and Lauri Bolen, and Business Leadership classes.
New Bindery Equipment
This month, we have begun the process of purchasing a new piece of equipment that will sew/stitch the pages of our books. This stitching equipment will not only increase the quality and longevity of our books, but it will also increase the efficiency of our bindery operations, allowing us to produce even more life-transforming books in the years to come! Thanks to the generous support of our donors, we have begun the process of purchasing this new machine, but we still need to raise the remaining $89,500.Â
Lamplighter Publishing
We have an amazing lineup of books being released this year, starting with January’s new release, The Runner. We are also excited to announce February’s new release (now available for pre-order), The Case of the Missing Stamp. Written by the author of Hand on the Bridle, this is a story filled with mystery, intrigue, and rich biblical truth that is sure to bless you and your family. We praise the Lord for continuing to provide us with these powerful stories!Â
Lamplighter Theatre
Last year, we went to London to record Hand on the Bridle and Kelly Nash: The Boy Who Didn’t Think, which are now in the post-production process. We will be releasing these two incredible stories this spring! Two more audio dramas (to be announced) are also in the works to be recorded in the not-so-distant future.
As February is just beginning, we look forward with great anticipation to all the things our God will do!
“Rejoice evermore. Pray without ceasing. In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you. Quench not the Spirit. Despise not prophesyings. Prove all things; hold fast that which is good. Abstain from all appearance of evil. And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. Faithful is he that calleth you, who also will do it.”
I Thessalonians 5:16-24
