Wide, Wide World, The
$40.00
Through endless trials, Ellen realizes that suffering has strengthened her faith, bringing her closer to God and making her better able to cope with life’s problems. The contrast in her life, especially with the people who surround her each day, creates an inner conflict, which drives Ellen to wrestle with herself, with others, and with God. This classic novel clearly depicts the Victorian era in the United States and was considered to be as popular as Uncle Tom’s Cabin and The Lamplighter.

Wonderful Book! This is by far one of my favorite Lamplighter books! I have read it multiple times and the story and lessons never grow old. Thank you Lamplighter for publishing such wonderful books!

True Favorite This book means so much to me for various reasons – one being that my mom read it to me before she passed away when I was young, but it is probably my favorite childhood memory. So many hard lessons learned, incredible vocab aid for kids, and really just a beautiful story! Would want everyone I know to read this!!
