Damaged Lady Jane Grey: The Nine-Day Queen
$8.00
The date is 1553. Here we observe the historical account of Lady Jane Grey, the Nine-Day Queen. Young Lady Jane is an unusual child who demonstrates uncompromising virtue and an accumulated treasury of knowledge. She is unlike any other fifteen-year-old of her day. Godly, determined, virtuous, beautiful, and bright, Lady Jane is the perfect choice for the next Queen of England. There is one main problem—she doesn’t want to be queen. Those in power, however, are determined to bring the crown to Lady Jane at all cost.
In this true account, you’ll be inspired by the uncompromising faith and virtue of Lady Jane as she demonstrates that there are things in this life worth dying for—and even more, worth living for. May you be challenged in your faith as you learn what it means to be more than conquerors through him that loved us. For “who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword” (Romans 8:35)?
“For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord” (Romans 8:38, 39).

Lamplighter books are beautiful and I love the bindings. I bought Lady Jane Grey and read it almost in one sitting. The story intrigued me greatly. Though I was disappointed that the author is unknown…. I was also surprised that it read more like a history book than a novel. But the story stands as a compelling tale which brings our short lives into perspective and demonstrates strong faith in Jesus Christ. He will never leave you nor forsake you, but will walk with you even to the point of death. It was this that resonated most with me.
