souls. Maurice Somers truly understands this, and he struggles to guard his own

The Jewel I purchased the Bishop’s Shadow and The Jewel for our 13 year old grandson…the Jewel had too many difficult words in it for a young teen to enjoy but I did – even though at 76 I did not know what a number of those words meant either. But back in 1860 people had a vocabulary that puts us to shame in this day and age. The story was very interesting but I will not be giving it to a younger teenager to read. Very excellent moral story.
