Living Heavenward I read this book for the first time when I was twelve, and it was instrumental in shaping my views of God’s sovereignty and of biblical womanhood an submission. I recommend it for all the young ladies in my life!

One of the Best Books I’ve Ever Read This book is about a young woman who strives to be Christ-like. The woman grows in the Lord, and the Biblical people in her life aid in this process. If you love reading about Christ’s help in trials and the happiness to be a Christian, read this wonderful book.

Lovely Book! What can I say? God has used this book to help change my life and it holds a very special place in my heart. The story of a sinful, willful little girl who grows up to be a sinful, yet submitted Christian woman. The lesson of learning to joyfully submit to the life lessons that God is pleased to give us, is woven throughout the book.
I found it especially helpful at this season in my life to read about the many invalids (Katy, the authoress, being one of them herself) and how they live their lives in light of their illnesses. Some are joyful and full of hope, others are fretful and unhappy, still others are despondent and gloomy. It is interesting for me to see how ones illness can be a blessing or a curse, depending on how you trust in God and His perfect will for your life.
I highly recommend this book for any lady, young or old. Read it and you will be changed, for the good.

Most Inspiring I have been so blessed by this book. It was like reading my life story, or the early part of it anyway. I would recommend this book to be read by anyone. Read it through in a day and a half.

Every Girl Should Read This! This is a favorite in my family. Not only is it a gorgeous copy of the book, but the book itself is amazing. It’s the story of one girl’s journey to womanhood and maturity in Christ. There is humor, heartbreak, and many lessons along the way that will challenge you in your own life.
And although it is written from the girl’s point of view, as it is her diary, guys can get something out of it too! We read it together as a family and my dad enjoyed it –though maybe not quite as much as we girls did. 😉

Beautiful Edition of a Classic This is a beautiful edition of a wonderful and edifying book. I read it first when I became a new Christian, and then again 23 years later. I thought I might not get as much out of it the second time, but I was wrong. There’s a reason this is a classic of Christian literature!

A Life Changer! This book was given to me as a Christmas present back in 1996. The giver wrote on the inside cover “This book is life changing. It is one of my favorites.” I read it then, and just reread it, and have to echo that inscription. This is not just a chapter book. This is one I want to jot my own little notes in and mark certain passages. It is one I will refer to again and again. Every woman in my life who is near and dear to my heart (like daughters, daughter-in-law, etc) will receive a copy as a gift as I received mine. The struggles that Katy faces throughout her young life could have been written by my own pen. Yet her submission to Christ’s will is something I can only hope to emulate, yet strive after on a daily basis. Full of encouragement and helpful notes, hope for the journey and an absolute love and devotion to Christ. You won’t want to put it down.
