A Peep Behind the Scenes I have been looking for this book for many years as I was read it by my mother when I was a child and had never forgotten it. I read the book on the same day as I received it and enjoyed it as much as I did when a child. I would highly recommend this book to anyone to read as it is one of those books that makes you want to not stop reading until you know how the story turns out. It will make you cry but also give you something to smile about.

Quite Good! I really enjoyed this book. The tension was incredibly well done. It moved slowly enough to make you wonder what’s next, but not so pokey as to lose your interest. I loved the characters. I think I finished this in one day! Recommended.

Very Nicely Done! I can’t say enough about how good Lamplighter books are. I enjoy them much more than modern books. Characters like Mother Manikin just make you smile. For those that often think the grass is greener on the other side of the fence or covet the lives of others around them, this is a must read! Things are not often what they appear! A very balanced book that is enjoyable to the last sentence.

Awesome Book I love that it shows God’s love for us as a shepherd. The shepherd carries her through the journey till she reaches her destination and is safe in his arms.

One of My Favorites The story was concise and stayed to the point. There were no loose ends and no unnecessary information. Mrs. Walton did a great job on character individuality. You can tell who the characters are by their words and you get to know them well. Great read aloud that all the family (including men) would enjoy.

Highly Recommended I read this book when I was a young teen. As a result I was saved through the power of God . I recognised the Shepherd as my own Saviour. I am now in my 60’s and have always held this book up as a special blessing.

A Peep Behind the Scenes I thoroughly enjoyed “A Peep Behind the Scenes” as it used the theme of Jesus as the shepherd looking for, and rescuing his lost sheep amongst a travelling carnival family that appears so glamourous to outsiders, but so full of disappointment and heartache apart from Christ. Very engaging!!
