Little Threads Every time I read a Lamplighter book I say it’s is my favorite, this one might actually be my favorite! I read it to my 9yr old daughter, who is very sensitive to the theme in books. The message to the listener is so beautifully written, it softens the heart and challenges the young (and old) to be the Golden thread in the lives we touch.

Highly Recommended Little Threads was thoughtfully written to inspire the importance of obedience, being patient, and loving. I was hanging on a thread for the outcome of what would happen to Tangle Thread and Golden Thread.

Little Threads This book has very short chapters, and I end up reading 5 or so at a time, because the children beg for more. It’s a very intriguing story so far. I’m happy to have found a book by the author of Stepping Heavenward!!!

My Absolute Favourite We attended a homeschool convention a few year ago in PEI and it was our first time hearing about Lamplighter and when we went to purchase our books Mark Hamby picked a few books and handed them to us. Little Threads was one of them and it is so well written it keeps all of our attention and definitely made it’s message very clear. I honestly wish the book went on and on with the story but we all learned so much and are seeing changes in all of us both the kids and us as parents 🙂

Heart Changing!!! This has been my 8 year old’s favorite thus far. She has the heart of gold at times as it is but had been struggling lately with getting along with her 4 & almost 7 yr old siblings. After reading this, she has a new desire to obey & be the little golden thread in her family’s eyes. It truly touched her heart & planted seeds of understanding importance of obedience & given her emulation as the mother tried to do. My daughter delights in hearing she is being a golden thread. Thank you Lamplighter for helping this mama to reach the heart of my children through God’s word & sharing these sweet stories. It will be one I’ll be blessed to see passed down for generations to come.

A Gem Worth Sharing Why I love the book: Although this engaging story is aimed at young readers by the author’s experienced, yet compassionate understanding of how to help young children recognize childish willfulness in themselves, the potential harm it may cause, and the effort needed to overcome, it may, nonetheless hit home at a mother’s heart, as it has mine. Many a loving mother would shield her child from a thousand harms if we could, yet, as the mother in this story, we wish we could illustrate for our child what this author has done so beautifully. Well, now you can via this purposeful, well-written story.
How I discovered this book: A friend ordered copies of this book for her granddaughters. She did her own customized sort of backyard Bible Club this summer for her 8 grandchildren, and this book was a featured element. On a visit to her farm, I began thumbing through and I couldn’t put the book down until read to the end.

12 Year Old Girl Approved 12 year old daughter loved this. I am so happy to be able to give my children quality literature that I do not have to worry about content, is exciting, & will help my children grow in the Lord. Enchanting Story I was surprised by how much my daughter and I enjoyed this book! We read it in just a couple of sittings. My daughter is 7 years old and asked if we could stay up all night reading the book just so we could finish it. Truly an enchanting story filled with so many good lessons. The book was worth the price.

Engages My Son’s Heart My six year old has really loved this read aloud at bedtime. This story engages his heart! Tangle Thread and Golden Thread are characters that help him be inspired, because he can see their actions and reflect (in conversations that happen around reading).

Great Book for Parents and KIds The children are enjoying listening to the story as part of our school mornings. Mommy could’t stop reading… and finished the story in a couple days. I would recommend this book to anyone, especially to those with young children.

Good For Both Parents and Children Though the story seems improbable – baby is good from the beginning, yet, I especially was much provoked by the tangled thread’s mother’s patience and faith, in the good way. I do believe that with God’s help, it is possible to be like her. And I’m encouraged to learn from her, with my children who are like silver threads. 🙂
