Helen’s Temper I just finished reading Helen’s Temper to my two girls (ages 8 and 10 yrs.) yesterday. We were in tears through last three pages. This book is must read for all ages and is a poignant warning of the dangers of mismanaged emotions. Very powerful story we will be reading again.

Thank you for making these worth while stories available. We plan to start reading The White Dove this afternoon. Can’t wait.

Great Spiritual Lesson A wonderful book about the far reaching ramifications of our sin and the forgiveness that God grants to the penitent. We love Lamplighter books!

Highly recommend We just started this but are liking it a lot. It is definitely “speaking” to the heart my daughter and myself. Can’t wait to see what happens.

Highly recommended I read this book before giving it to my granddaughter. It was such a relief to find such a wonderful character building book. I know she will see the virtues that God wants us all to have in our lives through reading this book. I intend to buy more books from Lamplighter’s selections.

Well Liked! My children and I suffer from anger and flaring tempers. We battle daily with our own difficult circumstances and what plan God is unfolding. There were times when each one of us could identify with traits of Helen in the story. Thank you for giving us another illustration of the NEED for Jesus an His grace to be self-controlled.

Great Book For Us And Our Children This was an excellent book that we read at bed time for our older children (ages 3, 4, & 6). We would stop from time to time to relate how Helen behaved vs. her sister in regards to loving others. Although our 6 year old was mostly interested, our 3 and 4 year olds attentions were kept throughout the reading. We look forward to reading this again with them and having them read it on their own when they are able.

Loved It! My daughter reviewed this book for Instagram and gave it a full 5 stars. She loved it and thinks her cousins would do good to read it also.

Recommended Love how it brought the story of the Good Samaritan to life along with other things. My 6 year old daughter didn’t like the ending but I did.

Recommend! Our daughter-in-love is homeschooling our grandchildren. She is a magnificent wife, mother, and teacher. This book was chosen by our 7 year old granddaughter for inclusion on her Christmas list. I know this book is excellent, and will be a cherished title in our granddaughter’s library.

A Good Teacher My second eldest is reading this right now. She is obviously captivated and shares bits of what she is reading. She thanked me profusely for the book and that I recommended it to her as she struggles with temper and self-will, often experiencing the consequences of her bad temper. I recommend this for helping children who’ve been allowed to exercise their temper unchecked and need a re-grounding, or those who just plain struggle with quick anger.
