A Must Read! I love the simple profound truths in this book! Fenelon reminds me of Oswald Chambers in his deep devotion to a close walk with God and his ability to explain the profoundly important and often forgotten truths necessary to that walk. He is easy to understand and his short exerts leave you with much to ponder with the added bonus of related Scriptures inserted by Mark Hamby. A must read for every Christian!

Best, best buy for busy people I have never read a book more profoundly simple and a book so accessible for those with busy lifestyles. Fenelon has a great wealth of wisdom for businessmen, mothers, students, and anyone else who does not find much time to spend with God. These excerpts are short, yet filled with encouragement for all those who are looking for a little food for thought to keep their minds “set on the things that are above.”

Gem of a Book! This book is a gem! I just recommended it as a gift for graduating seniors. This book is a collection of writings from the late 1600’s, yet the wisdom is biblical and timeless. It is leather bound and compact: I keep mine in my purse! Great devotional for all!

Highly Recommended We purchased both Vol.1 and Vol.2 years ago when we were homeschooling our children. Our children are in their 30’s now and requested their own copies. We were happy to order copies for them, but disappointed to only be able to order Vol. 1, hopefully Vol.2 will be reprinted soon. We found these little books to be excellent in content, both encouraging and solid in Christian fundamental beliefs. Fenelon’s message is clear, concise and really makes you think them through. We eagerly await the reprint of Vol.2

Excellent I am so happy that you reprinted Volume 1. I had 2 people fighting to get the only copy I could find of volume 1. Had searched for some time and then I found it on your site. These books by Fenelon give you deeper insight into living for the Lord. Very thought provoking and life changing IF we obey what we read. LOVE my Lamplighter books and I have many. Can’t put one down when I start it. Building character one book at a time!!!!!!!!
