highly recommended Wow, talk about a convicting little book. A true picture of how honesty is the best policy, even when it might put you in harm’s way. Not only does this story show how important honesty and hard work are, it also gives a convicting account of how lots of times every person in an unhappy home holds a certain amount of responsibility in that unhappiness. Great story to enable young people to see the importance of honesty and hard work, even at a young age. But, a good message for Mom and Dad, as well.

Highly Recommended! Our entire family enjoyed this story! Ages 3 to adult! I even find that I no longer desire to dog ear pages in books from one fleeting comment mentioned in this book! Great family focused and Christ centered story!

and then seeing how the Lord is faithful to

Great Little Read! I loved this character. His integrity shows that age does not determine wisdom. Nor, does it dictate the influence we can have in another’s life. Great read for children and prayers that they grasp its lessons and take them to heart. 🙂 Gotta love happy endings, too!

Basil; Or, Honesty and Industry This books grabs you as soon as you start reading it. The principles in this book are a treasure. It also makes me want to journal in my Bible as I look up and re-read passages mentioned in the text. So convicting are the words and lives of the characters in the story. Always pointing to our Holy Savior Jesus Christ.

My Son Loved It My 7 year old son could relate to Basil in this story. It’s a great story about the ripple effect of one little boy’s prayer and how his entire family changed for the better. It was a little more difficult for him to read alone, because of the extensive vocabulary, but we enjoyed reading it together.

Highly Recommended Gave to my 10 year old nephew for Christmas. He was very excited! The story plot is simple, but uses old fashioned writing style. Encouraging and sweet!

Great Example of God’s Love Such a great story of when you seek the Lord you will find him no matter where you are. I read this aloud to my children ages 17, 13 and 10. We all enjoyed it.

Basil Basil was such a loveable character with all the old world charm needed I have been wanting to expose my children to. Today’s reading material lacks so much virtue that the older generations that are leaving us have. So glad to have found this company that still makes it possible to find cherished gem of a book in the midst of watered down literature of the day.

All Age Recommended I consider myself in the upper aged category and I love this little book and I know my grandchildren would enjoy it as well. Therefore, I would recommend it for all ages as a faith building tool.
