“Beyond the Chariots” – FREE Event

Now you have the chance to be involved in this truly remarkable event! This Thursday, (May 25) at 7:30 pm we are inviting the public to to view three live performances from some of our amazing actors: Rich Swingle, David Sanborn, andIsrael Oyelumade.

This event is completely FREE, however, because seating is limited, we are limiting attendance to the first 100 registrants, so reserve your seat today!

Join Rich Swingle in his one-man play “Beyond the Chariots.” The four-time Academy Award winning film Chariots Of Fire tells how Eric Liddell refused to run the 100 meters in the 1924 Paris Olympics because a qualifying heat was held on a Sunday. Instead, he ran the 400, a race in which he wasn’t expected to place. He finished it five meters ahead of the favorite, winning the gold and breaking the world record. Rich Swingle’s one-man play, Beyond the Chariots, picks up where the film left off, showing Eric in his greatest race, as a missionary to war-torn China.
David M. Sanborn (pictured far right) has enthralled hundreds of thousands of people with his portrayals of ancient heroes. Now he brings the epic story of King David alive with a script that is actually taken word-for-word from the Bible. On Thursday David will be performing the scene of “David and Goliath” from this critically-acclaimed play. In addition to displaying the timeless humor of human nature, the play will also take your breath away at its moving portrayal of King David’s trials – those experiences that inspired him to write some of the most beloved lyrics in history (the Psalms).
Israel Oyelumade (pictured middle) has a strong career in film, most prominently in Pirates of the Caribbean, and The Long Firm. Israel was also a lead in the Royal Shakespeare Company, and performed in David Oyelowo’s play The White Devil. On Thursday Israel will be sharing a personal testimony about the power of drama and how his performance as Jesus in “The Winchester Passion” brought about life-transforming change not only in his audience, but in his own heart as well.
